My first love of art was abstract wooden sculptures inspired by Louise Nevelson. I loved the simple complexity of it. I created influenced works in high school. I decided I wanted to create some work in this style again. Louise stated she poured her felt isolation into her work at an early age. That may have been what I connected with in my teen years. It may very well be what is stirring it back up now.
